What this is
Chai Pe Date helps people meet at a tea stall, in a group, in daylight. We put people in touch. We are not there, we do not run the tea stall, and we are not a party to what happens when you meet.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or over. One account per person. Sign in with your own Google account.
What we ask of you
- Turn up when you say you will, or release the seat — releasing early costs you nothing and is what we would rather you did.
- Do not put anything on a table's conversation that you would not say out loud at the stall.
- Do not use this to contact somebody who has stopped wanting to be contacted.
- When you add a tea stall or a neighbourhood, describe what you can actually see. Other people decide where to stand based on those three answers.
Your own safety is your own judgement
The format is the safety design: public tea stalls, street-facing and busy, in a group, in daylight, ending at a stated time. A group table dissolves rather than run with two people. Two people alone happens only at the busiest, best-lit places and only when two of our staff have said so.
None of that is a guarantee about a stranger. Tell somebody where you are going. Leave if you want to leave — leaving early costs you nothing here, by design. Use the report and block controls; a block is silent and the other person is never told.
What we can do
We can suspend or remove an account. We can take a tea stall off the map. We do not have to explain either at length, though we will tell you it happened.
What we do not promise
That the service is always up, that a table will fill, that anybody you meet is who they say they are, or that a tea stall is open when it said it would be. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what happens when you meet somebody. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

Changes and ending
You can stop using this at any time, and you can delete your account yourself — see the privacy page. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so in the product.
